• Born in 1957 in Lumberton, NC. Father - Attorney - deceased;
  Mother - Homemaker, Teacher
• Grew up and attended public schools in Lumberton Attended East Carolina University and received a degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance and Marketing.
• Active member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Inter-Fraternity Council, and student government.
• Began working in real estate in Greenville, NC in 1980.
• Moved to Raleigh and joined Fonville Morisey Realty in 1985.
• Divorced in 1991 after 6 years of marriage - no children.
• Remarried in 1994 to the former Renee Deloach, a graduate of Industrial Engineering at NCSU. She owns and operates Air Matters a Mold Testing Firm.
• Joined RE/MAX United in 1996 to better position my self for keeping pace with the changes in the real estate industry.
• I have 3 great Boys Joseph IV, Chandler and Anderson. Alex, our yellow lab, has adjusted well to the change from being “only child” to “big sister to 3.”
• Enjoy spending time with my family, tennis, golf, jogging, yard work, cooking, and the beach.

Preston Miller  a Raleigh resident since 1981, joined the Joe Ward team in 2002. After graduating NC State University with a B.S. in Economics, Preston received his MBA from Pfeiffer University in Marketing and Finance. He owned and operated Miller’s Ace Hardware for 12 years before joining the team. Sandra Howe, is a Raleigh native who loves calling North Carolina home. Born and raised in Raleigh, she knows this is the best place to live. She developed a passion for real estate over 15 years ago and continues to work hard pursuing listings and home buyers. She has worked independently and on a mega team before joining the Joe Ward team in 2005 and fines that a small team allows her to focus herself on her clients and their needs. She is honest, hardworking, and she loves real estate. Debra Geer joined the Joe Ward team as the Closing Coordinator in 2006. She is also an ASP Master Stager and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Joe Ward team in preparing a home for sale.
